K.I.D.S. Art Education

Kentler International Drawing Space is a non profit arts organization located in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

The K.I.D.S. Art Education program brings innovative art-making experiences to students, teachers, and families in and around Red Hook. With our diverse community in mind, Kentler is committed to using contemporary art as a platform for inquiry, exploration, and empowerment. All programs are based on Kentler's exhibitions of drawings and works on paper.

Our programming includes School, After-School, Residency, and Drawing Together family weekend workshops.

DRAWING TOGETHER
Saturday art workshops are opportunities for families to explore the Kentler exhibition “Reinventing Silverpoint”
DESIGNED FOR AGES 4 & UP -- LED BY PROFESSIONAL TEACHING ARTISTS & K.I.D.S. ART EDUCATION STAFF

Join us for two different workshops:

10:00 - 11:30 am Saturday, October 3 and 17
Use special paper to explore drawing with metal objects: coins, wire, hardware and more!
(with teaching artist Meghan Keane)

10:00 - 11:30 am Saturday, October 10 and 24
Discover how to make a 3-dimensional drawing using metallic materials!
(with teaching artist Kate Baird)

All workshops are held at the Kentler International Drawing Space
353 Van Brunt Street (between Wolcott and Dikeman) in Red Hook, Brooklyn
