Fall 2014 School Programs: Post Visits

As we finish up another fun season of School Programs with P.S. 15 and Brooklyn New School, we would like to showcase the achievements of our talented students!

Working with TAs Ruth Wetzel and Victoria Calabro, students revisited the artworks they created in the gallery in response to "a knot, a tangle, a blemish in the eternal smoothness" by Hedwig Brouckaert and "A Sense of Place," by Viviane Rombaldi Seppey. Their interpretive map compositions and carbon tracings were transformed and combined into new, exciting works. Using themes of weather patterns, movement, and the idea of "flow," participants produced these colorful, imaginative, and somewhat abstract pieces:

Round of applause for these creative kids, dedicated classroom teachers, and for the K.I.D.S. Art Ed. team! Stay tuned for updates on our After-School programs as we wrap up 10-week courses with RHI and GSS in the coming weeks!
